DVD
The DVD is OK. I really like the Stretching book though and I give the book 5 stars. The DVD will help you but it's not a block buster production. 2010-01-30

Straight Forward Stretching
This is a comprehensive collection of stretches that you can do for various sports and otherwise to address various portions of your body. Though I often do yoga right now, I do use this one as a reference and also to helps focus on some areas more. A good combination with yoga routines and if you are not a yoga type, for whatever reason, its approach is straightforward and should be added to your other workouts. 2009-07-13

Great place to start stretching
A good place to start learning to stretch. Bob does know his stuff! Plus his models are my age! But, Bob: please look directly at the camera. He appears very nervous at the beginning, but eventually warms up. He goes thru many stretches to show the correct technique. He then has a 16 minute section for every day stretches. I have this DVD in my player at all times and key it up when I get back from my walks. Order his book (spiral bound version) as well. [...].
Again, this is a great place to start getting limber.

Great for learning proper technique!
I'm a busy(commuting from Long Island into Manhattan every day) 62 year old runner training for this year's Boston Marathon which I finally qualified for by 25 seconds.Since the training mileage already takes up so much of my time I wanted to learn the proper way to do a few basic stretches for running that would help improve my flexibility and avoid injury during training. This DVD is perfect and, along with Anderson's bookStretching: 20th Anniversary (Stretching)has proved extremely valuable since it turns out I had been doing some stretches incorrectly.I highly recommend both DVD and book. They complement one another and are great for people like me who have limited time and want to learn a few stretches focused on specific sports or just everday life. 2008-01-26

Stretching DVD - from the 80s
I bought this DVD to help me learn ways of stretching, as I am an avid cyclist and runner. The methods of stretching are useful, but not any more useful than ANY yoga DVD. The setup is old, humor bad, and it is quite boring. I could only watch it a couple of times. Now I just do a few stretches that I liked from the program. I recommend skipping this DVD. 2007-12-17
